Review of Recovery of an MMO Junkie
Net-juu no Susume has ended after a mere 10 episodes. I for one enjoyed it quite a bit. This anime was about a 30 year old woman who goes through immense stress at work and ultimately quits her job. After which she becomes a self declared NEET. In her newfound free time, she then plays the MMO's that she loves so dearly all day every day. In her game, she meets a girl named Lily. That's what it basically says in the synopsis. This anime is quite, in a word, pure. No ill intentions sexually or otherwise. The art and animation is nothing special, butthe character designs for the in game characters are interesting. Unfortunately, only about 2 or 3 of the characters are interesting. The supporting cast is really forgettable, even though its not about them. A comparison that I would draw to MMO Junkie is Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta? a similar gaming anime. Where instead of just 2 interesting characters that are adults, its a high school anime where the characters are more diverse. I give MMO Junkie a 7 out of 10, watch it if you have free time, its quite heartwarming. This has been your spoiler free but not really of Net-juu no Susume.
