Review of My First Girlfriend is a Gal
This is my first review ever, I made an account just to review this anime and let people know or at least help them avoid this trash of anime and waste of time. (TLDR last paragraph, although for those who don't like annoying characters, i recommend reading my review on the characters of this show.) What do I think of this anime? Well I think it is horrendous, when I first started this anime, I really liked the concept and idea of it because I generally like this kind of anime where 2 characters are dating and slowly build their relationship but this anime ruined it.It had a a lot of potential to at least be a nice RomCom anime but it was dreadful.
What made this anime dreadful? There were two main things that made this anime annoying and just straight out pathetic, the characters and the story.
The characters: First of I would like to start out with the MC, he is the most useless, pathetic excuse for MC. This MC is so stupid, annoying, and self conscious it makes you want to rip your own head off. The guy cannot think for himself and throughout the whole 10 episode anime he remains the same with little to no character development. In general, if you do decide to watch this, this MC will piss the shit out of you.
Moving on to the rest of the cast, the MC's friends are the worst friends anyone can have, plus the MC being so dumb to fall for their stupid ideas, you seriously have to be one hell of an idiot to fall for those stupid ideas that will without a doubt get you in trouble leaving those "friends" unaffected.
I would like to separately talk about the fat Loli friend in this, his actions were in no way funny, did not make me laugh one bit. That was just a terrible character, a character like that should not even be allowed to exist, I swear to god I see a criminal case here. All in all, this character was not funny, his existence was useless, and I believe the guy who wrote this character should be in jail.
The female casting in this is all annoying, the whole lot of them except the main heroine who I actually kinda liked but every other female was just straight up annoying.
The story: Terrible, cliche's left and right and executed in the worst way possible. Not funny at all, although I might've cracked a small smile in like 2 maybe 3 eps that's all. Just terrible story.
TLDR: Terrible anime, terrible characters with every single character on the show getting on your nerves (except maybe the main heroine) and the story was executed horribly. Would not recommend.
