AAAAAAHHHHH!!! THIS SHOW IS SO CUTE! I started it on a whim one day after coming across it randomly on Netflix, and I immediately fell in love. Japan has this wonderful ability to take something that seems like it should only be for children and molding and shaping it into something that is enjoyable and relatable for adults. And that's definitely what the writers and artists and overall production team did here with Rilakkuma to Kaoru-san. This is a show perfectly appropriate and enjoyable for a child audience, but the heart of the series is very much one that intentionally speaks to adult audiences. Being myself asingle woman in my thirties trying to figure out my own life, dating, work, finding purpose and meaning, this little series is infinitely relatable to me. I found Kaoru-san to be very likable, and of course I love Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori.

It seems unlikely that there will be another season of Rilakkuma to Kaoru-san, but if there is, I'm there, butt in my seat, marathoning the entire thing. Fingers crossed, I guess.
