To begin with, I don't know the story of the real Jirou, other than the fact that he worked on the Zero project. But that partly made my experience more immersive. The film that tells the story of Jirou, a chief engineer who worked on many projects, the most famous being A6M Zero. We see his trajectory, his work and his relationship with Naoko. I can't say if it can be classified as a biographical film, since I don't know how accurate it is, but it is still an excellent film to see a little about a man who lives his dream, finds love, and finally theresult at the end of war. It is not a film about war, it is a film about the history of a man and his dream of being an aviation engineer.

The soundtrack is also very good, during the film I felt that it fits very well at the right times.

The animation, already in the expected quality standard, characteristic of Ghibli

One thing I didn't like so much, was the lack of importance that some secondary characters had, in fact they were not the focus of the story, but still seeing the script itself it seems that they could have had a little more importance in the film .
