Review of Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission

i really enjoyed this movie, though I think I liked the previous movie slightly more. Like the previous movie, this felt very much as though it could be a story inserted into the canon with a little wiggling. A lot of favorite characters appeared and the stakes were interesting to me. I also really enjoyed the character interactions though I feel a little cheated on how they handled Kurapika. Other than that, I don't really have any complaints. I had a good time and laughed at all the funny parts and shrieked at a few of the more dramatic parts. It was also interesting towatch this movie kind of use some themes from one of the canon arcs in a different way, which I can see might be annoying for some but I didn't mind it because it was a different set of circumstances and in character.

If you enjoy Hunter x Hunter and the previous movie, then you'll likely like this one too. If remixed ideas from canon arcs annoy you in movies, then you will probably get annoyed.
