Quanzhi Gaoshou is an show focused around e-sports and the life of professional gamer, Ye Xiu. When I read the synopsis, I had a feeling I might like it but I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I have. I'll try to keep my review of this short. I'll start with the negatives of the show. There was some reused animation sequences especially in the first half of the series that make things feel repetitive(although one can argue that since this happens mainly within the game environment, it would make sense that the animations for the moves are constant just like how you would findthem in any game one may have played before). Another negative for some may be that in some instances the show didn't go into too much detail(like not fully explaining what effect some moves had etc.) this didn't really bother me personally and I can see why it was done. The dubbing of the voices is done in Chinese instead of Japanese so it may take some time to get used to.

The positives of the show include, a premise that hasn't really been explored before with the closest comparison being anime that have the protagonist stuck in the game in some way or fashion. Also the voice acting performances were superb, I was really able to feel the emotions the actors & actresses were trying to convey. The art was gorgeous and the 3D CGI really stood out to me as being well done. The character interactions were great and the story was very entertaining.

I'll conclude by saying that Quanzhi Gaoshou is a show I can confidently recommend you all give a try!

I'm an anime-only watcher but I'm considering giving the light novel a try in the future.
