This show is the most disappointing pile of garbage I’ve ever watched tbh. Everyone claims it’s a masterpiece so I had my hopes up pretty high but… The character’s motivations change in a heartbeat without good reason (looking at you Suzaku and Nina), characters themselves get resurrected with almost no explanation to drive the plot and we aren’t given any explanation as to how the actual Geass, that started the whole story, works. Lelouch (the only likable character in the whole story btw) only appears smart because he’s surrounded by complete idiots, when it’s clear the intent was to give him Sherlock Holmes type intellect. TheMecha fights have ok animation I guess, to the point it’d almost make the show watchable, however 90% of the scenes are focused on people talking inside the mechas.

A lot of people say that the ending of S2 makes the show worth watching but I disagree. It was unexpected, sure, but for the sole reason that it made zero sense

Overall, this show is full of non-negligible plot holes. It keeps hinting at events, character arcs and backstories only to completely forget about them. “Hey we’re halfway through the main story and the viewers still don’t know anything about why this character is alive! …just kidding lol, enjoy these 3 seconds of dialogue that should help but actually don’t”
