Although the story was a bit mediocre and the characters hackneyed, I really quite enjoyed the animations; background art, music, and choreographed fights in Sword of the Stranger. Luckily SotS had a wide arrangement of weapons to keep some of the fights fresh and engaging. While portions of this movie were cliche, mainly the writing, it showed otherwise good production value and is worth a watch if you enjoy anime with plenty of good fight scenes.
