Review of Akira

This would be a great anime if it wasn't overhyped. Not trying to gatekeep, but unfortunately I had a very high expectation due to media sources saying how GREAT of a masterpiece this anime is. Its not that bad nor is it great, this anime definitely excels in its animation and aesthetics while its story is vague. Maybe I did not understood the greater theme; all I can say is to enjoy the movie for its self and do not believe this will be a life changing anime. If possible, I would give this a 7.95 the animation and cyber aesthetic world is what carries thisanime.
