Review of Akira

Don’t ask me how or why I didn’t watch this sooner, but this animated film is truly an timeless classic. The pacing of the story, character details and feels all comes together really nicely in Akira. However, I must say that the writers could have expanded on the characters' backstories a tad bit more. But overall, still an amazing film with every moment filled with nerve racking action. I must give Tokyo Movie Shinsha credit - the animation has definitely stood the test of time. If you’re into action and the whole post-apocalyptic cyberpunk genre, you should definitely check this film out.
