Review of Black Lagoon
This review is going to cover Black Lagoon as a whole, not just the first season. I watched Black Lagoon, as it was in the recommended section of Cowboy Bebop, my current favourite anime. I was expecting an anime similar to Cowboy Bebop, but what I saw was something completely different, with a couple of similarities. Black Lagoon was something else entirely. I believe that Black Lagoon is a criminally underrated anime, with amazing elements. It's got a pretty good story, although not a flawless, structured one. The art style I loved, especially the detail of some scenes. I really liked the sounds and music of this anime. I watchedit in Dub, and so almost half of the anime was Revy swearing the whole time (this was enjoyable). Some of this music in the anime was honestly pretty stunning.
The character development was done perfectly.
Without spoiling anything, Black Lagoon refrained from giving into cliched, predictable character endings.
Rock was an excellent character, a moral protagonist refraining from criminal ways of life, but his character slowly turned into something I personally didn't like as much.
Revy was an incredible, merciless character, skilled with pistols and profanity.
After watching all seasons and OVAs of this anime, I can safely put this anime at a rating of 10/10. As I said before, this is criminally underrated, and something I personally consider a masterpiece.
