Review of Black Lagoon

this revie wis actually for both seasons as i believe they are equal story: 8 it sounds weird that i give the story this high a number since its simple, however stories are always deepened by its characters, wether it be the group bringing a message to someone or just having conflic with gangsters, there is always a way for these strories to get very serious and emotional art: for an anime that is 12 years old it's artsyle looks a litlle dated, but there madhouse has proven in the past that they know how to animate well, and o god this animation isbetter than most anime of today, the direction was well done combined with the talented staff the overall animation is very good

sound: the op and ED are good and memorable, the ost's in themselves are nothing special but combined in the scenes they are used in they sound just majestic they add so much value to every scene they are used in

charaters: the 4MC's are Rock Revy Dutch Ben

Rock being new to this world of crimeat first starts as a goodharted naive young man, over time he seems to understand how life works here and gets more synical

Revy: revy is deifinitly one of the best female characters ever stealing most scenes from Rock, as much as she is a bad person she shows that she really is nbot she just got into a bad life and reflects as what Rock could be if he stays long enough

Dutch: calm badass big black guy, nothing more just fun to watch

Benny is kind of a tech nerd but his friendship with Dutch really feels soo well

Balalaika is my personal favorite character from this show, leading the russian mob this veteran woman is power and fear signified, she is just so cool and nihilistic

the side characters are not very deep but super enjoyable

highly reccomend this anime to everyone even if you dont like action as a genre
