Review of School Days

Starts off as a slice of life, ends in a psychological thriller, with a stark change in mood half way through. You’ll likely find yourself bored to death for the first 9 episodes as the character interactions are slow paced and full of filler. The plot twists however, were nicely done and the shocking ending has definitely left an impression. The 2 female protagonists were interesting and their feelings well depicted while this cannot be said of the male protagonist. The intention was to portray the change of a nice/timid guy into a scumbag but it was inconsistent, it flip-flopped too much throughout the season insteadof being gradual…
Should you watch it? If you feel left out of the conversation then yes, however while the final 3 episodes were interesting I can’t forget how slow the build up was so can’t recommend it.
It’s gets from me an overall rating of “Meh” 😐
