Review of Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online is about a group of players trapped in a video game with a similar premise to Log Horizon. Unlike Log Horizon, Sword Art Online can barely be called an anime, more or less a powerpoint at 30 slides per second, there is no character, no pacing and no bad animation for me to laugh at, in the first half. In the second half the show changed from a powerpoint to a walking human rights violation, apparently, video games are basically Somalia now? Anyway the second half is downright offensive to the senses in scenes which are so unnecessary that you can only feellike it was meant to arouse the viewer.
Overall though, the art is genuinely great, the character designs are nice and for the most part the anime sounds good but that doesn't help to bring up the score that much

If not for the enjoyment this series has brought me id give this a 1, but there's one simple reason this show gets a 10, the Abridged version by SWE which goes beyond the original to fix the writing and not beat the dead horse that is this series. This show has given use that Abridged series therefore it slightly pains me to say that this series has given me more enjoyment than most other series.
