Review of Sword Art Online

Just going to say if your first anime was SAO its fine to be offended by this review. Story: 3/10 It started off good and it had so much potential to be a game changing action anime. But it took a turn for the worst. (My opinion is going to be displayed a lot in this section) They skipped ahead so many floors. The floors they did show where when Kirito used his godlike normie protagonist skills to beat the boss. There was no strategy, no teamwork, not even a scene where he's in a near death state. Just some cliche protagonist power and some indestructibleplot armor can get him through faster than a hot knife in butter.

Art: 7/10 Not going to lie the art is pretty good. The scenery and the battle scenes were colored to near perfection.

Sound: 8/10 The music is pretty damn good. It has two great openings which just make me smile when I listen to them.

Characters: 3/10 These characters have no solid personality. Asuna is just a bundle of everything that makes her the main ship of the series. Kirito is just plot armor, nothing really defines what he is. And these two are the main characters, pretty shallow if I do say so myself.

Enjoyment: 3/10 Having a good art style and great music isn't enough to carry you across the goal line in anime. I personally just watched it because it was recommended to me from a friend. Having good music and scenery is enjoyable, but having such a bland plot kinda just ruins it.

Overall: 4/10 If you want to watch a good action anime just go watch something else. If you want fan service might as well watch Fairytail because the fan service is way too much for someone trying to watch some shounen. Overall its just a anime that is overhyped and ruined by how the story progresses.
