Review of School Days
Story When I first started watching this anime, I hadn't read any reviews or anything and just thought it was a comedy, ecchi, shougo, anime. The first episode was great, if you like a romance drama type genera which I do. Then in an hilarious moment me and a few friends who were watching, decided to watch an episode of AMV Hell which is like a bunch of anime clips with funny music attached. During the watch, near the end we noticed something," Was It School Days....No it was way to gory". But as we returned and looked at the ever so dramatized cell phone, itwas definitely our anime. Our jaws dropped and soon our want to watch School Days increased. Almost amazed by what we seen, a simple sweet love story had turned into a horror story of what happens when your cheat.
We then decided to start watching the series religiously until finished as we were so excited to see if what we had seen was truley the end of this anime.
The Story wasn't simply a love story but as story of lost love, vengeance, and hurt feelings, with a sad and unbelievable ending. I loved this anime, I was so surprised, and after the first two episodes, I just couldn't wait till the next, as I new with every scene the story was rising to a climatic ending.
I haven't seen a lot of animes of this manner before, but I don't think anyone else could tell it better.
Something I new about H Games myself, was that if you as the main player decided to go after more women then one, that you can end in demise. In this case the Main Character most definitely did so.
This is a shocking, insane, and even upsetting story that I have to recommend.
Art/ Sound
The Art in this anime was simple and generic, but totally enjoyable for me, along with the sound, and music.
Characters
(Makoto Itou) Is the main male character. His character at first comes across as sweet, innocent and unexperienced. But soon as he has a taste for something more, he can't help but get himself into so much trouble. This character comes across as a pathetic, cheating, womanizer and by the end you grow to hate his character.
(Kotonoha Katsura) Is the first love interest for dear Itou, and she is a sweet heart. Though during the anime her whinny clingy and even ridiculous ways definitely make you start to dislike her. Over time Katsura becomes insane and enraged, and starts to show her true colours.
(Sekai Saionji) Is definitely my favorite character from this anime. Though she is a little manipulative, over all she simply falls for her best friend which is very common in anime. She wants him to express that he loves her, but in the end he simply can't choose. She comes across as someone who becomes helpless very quickly, but over all is an amazingly strong character.
I couldn't get enough of this anime, it was fun insane, lively and the story kept me sucked in. I would recommend it to anyone over the ages of 15 as I feel that it was way to violent for children. Definitely watch it, as I feel you will see something you've never seen before.
Thanks for reading
