I'm a huge fan of the original novel and have never found an adaptation that I thought lived up to Bram Stoker's wonderful work. As such I was really skeptical when a friend recommended this, but now I absolutely adore it!! I love how Sakamoto added LGBT and disabled representation as well as adding some people of colour and making Mina more of a feminist without taking away from the original story. Sp far he's managed to keep a lot of small details as well as larger plot points of the original novel while still making it his own work. I'm so excited to seewhere he takes our cast and highly recommend this even if you aren't a fan of the original novel.
