One Piece: Shokugeki no Sanji · review
I think it's fair to say Sanji was one of the reasons I started watching One Piece in the first place, so I was very excited that he got not only a spin-off just for himself AND done by people who are on the food manga business. Jackpot! The art is amazing, the little plots are fantastic, Sanji looks gorgeous doing all of his cooking, I love ALL OF IT. Why isn't it a 10 tho? Because of the usual stuff. The fatphobia in the first story annoyed me, the borderline shota stuff in the 6th chapter irked me, the weird predatory way the okamaare depicted frustrated me... That last part is from the original One Piece, but it annoys me in the original one too, so.
If you're a fan of Sanji, though, this will be an easy favorite. And as someone who feels the mainline One Piece is missing some cool down time and actual communication between characters that isn't related to a battle, this was like a warm comforting meal.
I'm so happy the people of the horny chefs manga made a horny chef manga for my fave horny chef!
