The premise is certainly a fresh one. I cannot say I've ever seen anything similar to it. However, the writing is nothing to brag about. The characters lack any nuance. Although that almost appears to be intentional as the story is supposed to take place in a situation where every quintessential plot, monster, and main character from every genre with calamities combined into one. So perhaps they are tropey on purpose. Still doesn't excuse the dry and overdone dynamics between these characters. I must say, if there is a reason to keep sticking to this series is definitely for the gorgeous art style, action set pieces, andthe premise itself. It is such a blast to see how the characters from different universes clash against each other.
