The Hiden series, in particular, stands out for giving depth to beloved characters who were often relegated to the background in the main plot.

The stories are, in general, very entertaining, but they go beyond that. They manage to recapture that feeling of classic Naruto—a darker, more dangerous, and unpredictable world, where being a ninja truly carried a greater weight. At the same time, the stories balance this more "devastating" side well with elements such as romance, politics, interpersonal relationships, and camaraderie, greatly enriching the universe.

One of the most remarkable volumes is the one that explores the Akatsuki in greater depth, bringing new layers to characters like Itachi Uchiha, Pain, Konan, and Kisame Hoshigaki. This in-depth exploration is one of the highlights of the collection, as it helps to better understand motivations, ideals, and relationships that the main work didn't have as much time to develop.

Overall, I highly recommend these light novels, especially for fans of the Naruto universe who want to expand their understanding of the story and characters. They not only complement the original material, but also bring new perspectives and emotions.

Além disso, são obras canônicas dentro do universo de Naruto, o que aumenta ainda mais o interesse, principalmente para quem gosta de mergulhar fundo na história. Algumas dessas narrativas, inclusive, chegaram a receber adaptações no anime, reforçando sua relevância.

Por ser uma light novel, grande parte da ambientação, das cenas e até das emoções fica a cargo da imaginação do leitor, isso no contexto do mundo ninja de Naruto, foi algo diferente e muito envolvente para mim. Acostumado com o ritmo visual do anime, ler essas histórias me fez perceber nuances que passam despercebidas na tela.
