In a better anime, a recap episode like this might be important for the pacing and/or storytelling. But as it stands, Silent Witch already suffers greatly from bad pacing. The show focuses heavily on certain aspects while skipping over others, and leaving the rest out entirely. if the anime had been given more time to focus on the characters and plot points, let things settle in, and allow the viewer to become immersed in the world, this recap might have been a nice reprieve. But with the current state of the anime, it's just a baffling decision because not much has happened yet that needsrecapping. Maybe if the anime had more moving parts, but it does not.
