Writing this in the hopes that people might see it in the feed. This music video is pretty simple, but it hits all the right notes! Apparently the "Piplup Step" song and dance has been around for a little bit (maybe an ascended meme?) (See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQphidLiACE), but this little animated version has a lot going for it. It's about a girl in a baggy shirt living with her cherished Piplup, and it's not too interested in the dance portion. Instead, it fixates on the characters' relationship by showing them in a lot of naturalistic settings. Even when the dancing takes over the focus, it is becauseit is an expression of their affection for each other.

As of now, it's got 3 million views on YouTube, but only 801 MAL users have logged it. So it seems like it slipped beneath our English-speaking RADAR.
