Horimiya should be your next watch if you're looking for a chilled-out, slow and relaxing story that allows you to get attached to characters without being hurt by sudden dramatic twists. This is a great anime to watch to take your mind off things. The author has managed to create a compelling story despite using the absolute bare minimum of drama and conflict to drive the plot forward, allowing the audience to enjoy the friendships and romances on the characters' behalf. Therefor it heavily relies on it's characters to create the story's appeal, where she uses well implemented comedy and subtle characterisations to create these lovablecharacters.

Hori and Miyamura are done near perfectly. their characters are given a clear personality at the start that HERO then sticks to perfectly throughout the series, so that all their actions and reactions make sense. She even manages to reveal new facets to them later on that would still make sense for their characters. All the character interactions seem natural as well.

The lack of Drama and minimal plot is exactly what I love about it. Horimiya is such a fun and entertaining story that doesn't stress me out with sudden plot twists/betrayals. it even avoids a lot of cliches common in manga that depict 'perfect' relationships. Hori and Miyamura's relationship seems fresh enough to make it stand out.
