Review of Chainsaw Man

A world full of devils TLDR: CSM is an anime with thought-out and interesting world building with an intriguing plot that gets absolutely steamrolled by the amount of sexual content that occurs with Denji throughout the show. CSM has an interesting plot in which the author changes real world events to fit devils in, and its woven extremely well to were it seems realistic. the world building around devils and the contracts devil hunters make between them is interesting, and the relationships between the devils and society is complex. Frankly, the manga should be read alongside the anime, because certain parts of the show that felt likethere was holes or were confusing might be contained in there

in terms of negatives, CSM is overly sexual, to the point where it is uncomfortable to watch. Denji is 16 at the beginning of the show, and the amount of suggestive/sexual content around him gets quite annoying. Some people might be okay with this, but it was a hard watch and it watered down the show. Not to mention that some of this suggestive content occurs with adults, which rings red flags.

Overall, this show is extremely interesting, and it would be much more enjoyable if there wasn't the need to have suggestive/sexual content in a good amount of the episodes.
