I've watched quite a few of the "banished from the hero's party" type of anime, and this is the one I most enjoyed. I was basically done with that genre, until I accidentally found this one. In similar anime, the whole party decides to kick out the MC not appreciating their value, but in this one, it was not that straightforward. There are many likeable and not likeable characters here but there is also a good deal of character development (growth and change) and well-fleshed out characters. I like the distinction between the person's personality and desires. Like, someone can get the hero blessing butnot want to be a hero or get a different blessing (like Albert with the Champion blessing) and want to be the hero. And the blessings give them urges to follow (or resist). I also enjoy anime that involve apothecaries, which this one does.
