Review of Lazarus

Lazarus had the potential to be something special, but unfortunately, it falls short in most areas. The only standout feature is the choreography and parkour sequences, fluid, dynamic, and visually engaging. These moments showcase real craftsmanship and briefly elevate the experience. However, the story itself is dull and uninspired, lacking the depth or originality needed to keep viewers engaged. The narrative feels like it’s going through the motions without offering anything fresh or emotionally compelling. The animation is inconsistent: some scenes look sharp and well-executed, while others feel underwhelming or even unfinished. This uneven quality detracts from the overall immersion. Additionally, the character design is painfully average, offering little in the way of creativity or uniqueness, a surprising letdown given the talent involved in the project.

In the end, Lazarus is style over substance, and even the style doesn’t always deliver. A few great action sequences can't save what is otherwise a forgettable experience.
