Review of The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?

When it comes to Hachi-nan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou! it can't really get anymore generic than this but at the same time it's interesting enough to hold my attention. Sure the characters are copy and paste (except for best girl Rhodrich) but there's definitely a charm to them when it comes down to it, yes the plot is generic but it gives you a sense of fulfilment when the story raps up. And lets be honest here, who doesn't love some isekai trash here and there. The main reason I see people not liking this or even giving it a chance is because of thetypical trope of the main character being overpowered in all aspects of life, but when it comes down to it, it gives you a great sense of escapism and something you can turn your brain off while watching.
This is obviously not meant to be broken down and analysed about what means what but more so it's there to just give you something to enjoy for 4-5 hours.
