Review of Midnight Occult Civil Servants

To put simply, this anime is a waste of time and a waste of what could've been a very interesting plotline. Starting with the premise that there's a somewhat secret division of "police" that are meant to be intermediaries between the supernatural and the public was promising. Everything after that is a bit of a mess. Starting off with the fact that these "intermediaries" cannot even understand what these supernatural creatures are saying, leading to, of course, mind-numbing misunderstanding after misunderstanding. Even with the assistance of the newbie, who has taken on the role of translator, as the only one who can understand them. The animationis only ok, the characters are weirdly underdeveloped and unlikable, and the plot and the pacing are all over the place. Honestly, I should've stopped watching halfway through to save myself some time.
