Review of Recovery of an MMO Junkie

I enjoyed this more than I should. Maybe it's because I'm getting older and silly stories like this easily touch my heartstrings, but I would highly recommend this show... if you're ok with it being a piece of fiction. I find it a bit disheartening, but I've been seeing people write scathing reviews on shows that moved me and left me feeling happier for watching them. Collectively they voice that these shows are bad because it's unrealistic. I agree. There are many times in this show that even the characters wonder if "coincidences like this can really happen?" The wonderful and uplifting moments you seein this show might only exist in the fantasy of fiction, but I feel that there is nothing wrong with that. We play games online, read books, manga, etc.. to get away from reality. It's our escape and our happy place. It's ok if it's not realistic and a work of fiction.

I just hope that as people come and explore shows like this, they can leave their expectations of reality at work, school.. wherever it is that it needs to be stowed away... to be able to enjoy fun and uplifting works of fiction that cheer our hearts and give up more hope so that in the following day we are recharged to deal with more "reality."

I'm sorry, I'm just rambling. You might think a lot of what I said has nothing to do with the show, but if you've watched it.. it's sorts of basically what it is all about.
