Review of A Place Further Than The Universe

To put it simply this show is great. Not a single episode looks like a filler and not a single character looks like insignificant or minor for the story purpose. It is not actually a slice of life genre, but rather a fully fledged adventure. Literally. Four girls embark on a journey to Antarctica! Since the show is about friendship, motherhood and fulfilling your goals, I'd recommend to prepare some tissues (to wipe away your tears ofc, you perv). The animation here is gorgeous, it would be safe to say that Madhouse has outdone Kyoto Animation on this one. The backgrounds are stunning and detailed, the charactersare sharp and the movement is as smooth as the well-known criminal (Саня, ты в порядке?).

Another notable thing about "Sora yori mo Tooi Basho" is that the shown details about the expedition are not some made-up nonsense just for the sake of the series. The Japanese Showa Station is an existing thing, and the show has even managed to recreate its exact appearance, the same goes for the Shirase icebreaker. Both the station and the ship are presented very accurately.

I highly recommend everyone to watch this show. Easily 10\10.
