The second season of the seven deadly sins is something interesting. The season grows upon what was introduced in the first season of this anime, by expanding the scope of the narrative with the introduction of the commandments, well-constructed animation, and art style, soundtrack that fits in with the world of Britannia and the development of characters serve to create an enjoyable anime. The story is constructed well, the introduction of the ten commandments serves to craft a tense new conflict to drive the narrative. The first commandment encountered sets in the true power of the commandments. However, season two doesn't resolve the flaw behind itsprevious season. That being, I can enjoy the anime but wouldn't mind if I accidentally forgot about its existence.

The animation was well constructed, the same brilliant animation used in the previous season was implemented well. Fight scenes feel fluid and help emphasize the true power of the characters. The art style of the characters blends in with the environment and doesn't distort the anatomy of the characters' bodies. However, the character designs don't fit within the time period.

The soundtrack of the anime does a passable job, the music links to the world and time period portrayed and does a decent job at conveying the moods of specific scenes. One fatal flaw of this season is the op, the op is not nearly as memorable or enjoyable as the first op.

Characters in this season go through a large amount of development, the relationship between Ban and Meliodas grows tenser, and the development of King's character from someone who ran away from protecting those he cared about to doing everything he can to protect them was a great way of developing a character. Although, Zaratrus was always presented as this godly figure and he is only present for a short amount of time, short enough considering his title of one of the strongest knights.

Despite suffering from the same weaknesses as the first season, the newly introduced conflicts create a more tense story that is portrayed by fluid animation, music that fits into the middle age European world, and developing characters.

Overall, I rank this 7/10.
