Review of Fire Force
An absolutely stunning piece of art, with incredible looking fights scenes and backgrounds. It may drop off in the later episodes, the first 10 or so episodes are magnificent. Story – 8 I was invested in this story for the first 20 or so episodes. With awesome atmosphere building you get to experience to some amazing character interactions, I enjoyed it immensely. Art – 10 No doubt about it, this is some of the best animation of 2019. The animation is so fluid, with an incredible art style that left me stunned. Sound – 8 The 1st round of OP and ED are amazing, but the second round notso much. The background music sounds a lot like the bank heist from PlayStation vr worlds, but still helps build atmosphere.
Character – 8
I love the character growth in the series; the characters grow so much during these 24 episodes. Its great to see each characters strengths and weakness, it’s quite the adventure.
Shinra is a compelling protagonist, he sort of has his focus on a revenge plot, but what he discovers is great.
Arthur is a great match for Shinra as his “Frenemy”.
Captain Obi really shows Shinra to train further and to continue his story.
All of the other supporting characters are very strong in helping Shinra on his mission, but they all have ulterior motives that build on the plot.
Overall – 9
It’s very good, the story can drop of slightly, but the animation and fight scenes definitely make up for it. The fan-service can seem out of place sometimes, but is still fun. I would recommend this to anyone, maybe not as a starting anime, but as a continuation of the Anime addiction.
