Review of Darwin's Game
Darwin's game is my entry into the world of battle royale death game anime and as such, was one of the freshest and most fun experiences I've had watching anime in a very long time. The show was one of the few I've ever seen to be able to hold my interest for 23 minutes every single episode and is packed full of amazing fights, cool characters and interesting concepts. "Darwin's game" is a mobile game with seemingly no escape that pits users against each other for supremacy. You die in the game, you die in real life. Simple concept right? Well, there's much more to thegame than anyone could have ever imagined and each episode more and more is revealed about the true purpose of D-game.
Good plot is one thing, but to really hold my attention a show has to have good characters, consistent writing and good technical qualities and Darwin's game excels in all of these categories. The show is beautifully done featuring great and consistent art, sound and animation quality. The fight scenes, and there's a lot of them, are all well animated and fun to watch. The characters all feel unique and there's a sense of purpose with them. Often when you watch a show with a bigger cast, there's some characters who make you question what they're even there for. I never felt like this at all with D-game. They all are there for a reason and add to the experience of the show.
Overall, if you're looking for a fun and fast paced show to watch, or if you're into battle royale style anime, Darwin's game is a must watch. It features good characters, writing and is well done. 9/10.
