Review of School Days

This anime is as brilliant as it is disgusting. I am simultaneously impressed and nauseated by watching it, and it wins the award of being the only anime, hell, the only event in my entire life that I would go back and time and erase from my memory if I could. That being said, School Days is really well-done. It explores a lot of the darker side of human nature, as EVERY FUCKING CHARACTER is a terrible human being in some way. This is best illustrated by the main character, A.K.A. the biggest god damn douchebag asshole prick nugget of all fucking time. I'm pretty sureif he was at least somewhat decent as a person, the entire anime would have been MUCH more pleasant to watch, but also much less interesting.

Look, if you want to take this anime as some kind of life-lesson about not being greedy or generally an asshole, be my guest. There is probably some benefit to watching this anime if you're in the right mindset. But the fact remains that it is wholly depressing and frustrating to watch, and I would never wish this anime upon anyone that I didn't hate with all of my heart and soul. It gets an overall rating of 2 because I recognize the fact that it made me feel more strongly than any other anime.

But seriously, fuck this anime.
