Review of Black Lagoon
Is this anime perfect? No. Is it still worth attention? As Revy would say, Fuck, yeah! Considering I do like dark themes, this show is golden. The dialogue between the characters is extremely intriguing, the story arcs are beyond entertaining, and all of it builds to help the main characters overall development. The anime is realistic in a sense dealing with like I said before, dark themes. Many of the characters in this anime have a relate-able dark past or situation that brought them to this city that you wouldn't want to move. Mostly the viewer will be focusing on the Lagoon Company and their interactionswith various gangs, criminals, organizations.
Action scenes are spectacular. Though there are some unrealistic elements that I could point out, it doesn't take away from the overall enjoyment of the show as it's meant to go over the top in that way sometimes.
This is one of the anime that can tell a good story while still keeping its other qualities at a high. It's disappointing that this didn't get another season after Roberta's Blood Trail, but I've started reading the manga which is also starting to get much more interesting.
