Review of Black Lagoon

An homage to American action films. Very much a product of its time. Raunchy, violent, non stop action. Takes inspiration from Tarantino films and is overall pretty good. The soundtrack is very good . Both the English dub and Japanese are both very well done. The story is somewhat hard to follow in later episodes but still very interesting. The art style is very early to mid 2000’s with the gritty dark atmosphere. The characters were all flawed interesting characters most of which get a detailed backstory or are intentionally left ambiguous. Characters act a little unreasonably but with it being a crime action thrillermimicking the over the top violence of Tarantino films I think this is necessary.
