Review of Fairy Tail

Fairy Tail is the definition of a starter shonen anime, if you're 13-15 and haven't seen many anime you might even be fooled into thinking it's good. The guild has decent characters, they show a lot of boobs and asses, some of the villains are interesting, and the powers can be fun. this show is the worst popular shonen out there (by far) but that doesn't mean it's horrendous. I think it's a 5/10. Now for the negatives. Character development: lack of it. when I was young I accidentally watched the 2nd part of this anime before watching the 1st part, all of the characterswere so identical I didn't even know that the second series took place after like 8 arcs had passed. Only thing that changed is that there were new characters I didn't know.
Tension: none. none of these characters are willing to die, I swear they could explode the body, bury the pieces and they'd still rise up from the coffin. This series is made up of 200 Pells from One Piece. immortal. Even characters that died in flashbacks come back.
asspulls: if not the power of friendship, the other way a fight will predictably end is a character suddenly getting a power-up that was never mentioned before and won't be mentioned after the arc.
goofy motivations: half of the villains get talk no jutsu'd without Natsu even talking, why were they even villains when getting beaten up turns them into normal good guys???
animation: considering this show started airing in 2009 the animation is way worse than you'd expect
bad fights: putting aside the asspulls and power of friendship, most of the fights are just boring. the villain starts by beating the hero, they suddenly get stronger and 1-shot the villain easily, rinse and repeat.
