Review of Fairy Tail

What can I say? In the beginning, this looked like it could have been a fantastic adventure anime, but nope, they went and took an amazing premise and a beautiful, epic setting and proceeded to butcher it with non-stop aesops boiling down to " the power of friendship is unstoppable". I had high hopes all those years ago when I saw this adventure anime start out but in the end I had to admit that this show has degraded from that once hopeful start, into boring mediocrity. Characters: Poorly developed and all have a frighteningly nauseating belief in the "power of friendship". Sadly in thisshow, this thing keeps working so there's never any tension in the major arcs. You can always predict it will end with the main character punching out the villain, no matter what the difference between their skill is, while preaching the same old thing like a broken record.

Sound, art, the rest are all just ok, but as said above, my main issue is with the characters, which also degrades the story as a consequence.

In short, Fairy tail: it's boring and preachy and illogical. If you need the exact opposite of an enjoyable and engaging show, then this is the show for you.
