Story and Character: The second season of Noragami is just as enjoyable as the first, thanks to all the plot twists and well-timed comedic relief. Noragami Aragato centers mostly on delving into the past of Bishamonten, Yato, and Ebisu. This sequel starts with the unraveling of Bishamonten's past, and the events that explains her deep-seated grudge for Yato. Characters from the first season gain depth in this season, making them more personable and permanent to the viewer. Meanwhile, an important figure of Yato's past emerges to control him through their mutual link, Nora, into doing his bidding. Yato's last mission requires him to aid Ebisu, one of the gods of fortune, who is causing quite a stir in the heavens. During this mission, we get to see Yato's character development which I think makes for good material to build up on in a 3rd season.

Art and Sound: The art has not diminished since the 1st season. Everything is as vibrant as usual, from the colors and changing pupil sizes of the characters' eyes to the details and designs of the phantoms. In addition, Oral Cigarettes does another great job in the opening theme song. The song, in addition to the PV is so masterfully done it always hypes me up before the start of each episode.
