Better than the first one. They listened to the fans I suppose. I have been watching Initial D for over 10 years and remember when this came out. I was mostly just into the cars and did not pay attention to the story but I liked the racing. The story: Essentially similar to Legend 1 but a bit more character depth. I liked it. The animation: It was good CG technology grows over the years but I still am not a fan of the CG. I know its hard to animate fast cars like that but nevertheless it is still CG. The music: Tho no Eurobeat still, themusic is a bit better than last time. 4/10

The characters: Much much better than last time. They have a spine and are self-controlled now.

Why you should watch it: Listen, if you are already this far in the Initial D rabbit hole you might as well you know.

Final Score: 6/10
