Review of Astra Lost in Space

The review may contain some spoilers, but I'll let you know if I'm going to talk about any, so don't worry. Characters

To talk about them I will focus on their developments, because their personality traits are quite generic, we have the typical super optimistic shounen protagonist who tries his best to help everyone, we have his romantic interest which is mostly a girl sweet, shy and cute, we also have the classic heartthrob, polite, kind, but that has some secret, then we have the tsundere, the smart, the emo, the kuudere and the prankster, oh yes, we have a little girl too. Starting with Captain Kanata's development, he begins as the typical shounen character, saving / helping someone, in this case Aries, throughout the story, Kanata ends up playing a key role in uniting and calming the team, given the situation in who meet, being optimistic and so helpful he has a simple thought which helps him to judge the situation faster, being impulsive in most of the anime, this even seems like a bad decision, but the anime shows that sometimes Simple decisions can solve complex situations, but he is not “dumb”, Kanata has a great sense of responsibility to everyone, putting himself in danger several times to help them. Then we have Aries, her romantic partner, a kind, calm and naive girl, not much to talk about her, since her development is very "superficial" and its relevance is in the past, something that will be addressed throughout the work. She serves as the heart of the team, being able to calm her teammates with her friendliness and kindness. Now Zack, the smart, cool-headed but surprisingly one who creates the best humor scenes, it's amazing how out of nowhere he says something “funny” that he considers serious, breaking the tense mood, his partner Quitterie and Funi (Quitterie's half sister) help in this, Quitterie, being just a princess who always had everything but later revealed that she actually had “nothing”, abandoned by her mother and forced to live with a half sister who he didn't know her, she found herself trapped in her bubble, their development boils down to their acceptance of this affection between sisters, and their feelings for Zack being surfaced. Yunhua, probably the most "superficial" character in history, she is shy and clumsy, always suffered humiliation by her mother and forbidden to do what she wanted, the development is precisely that, an acceptance and that she could, yes, follow her dreams . Ulgar, the typical Sasuke, solitary, serious, thinks about his own good and has a sad past, his development is linked to Luca, when the two have a discourse, putting them all at risk, soon after being saved by Kanata, end up Understanding and prioritizing the friendship and survival of all, lastly, Charce, who could be just another heartthrob, funny, friendly and helpful, but who has an impressive development and twists that left me amazed.

Traces/Animation

The Traits aren't award-winning or different, nor is the animation award-winning, but I must praise the consistency and minimal use of CGI, along with the few really fluid scenes.

Soundtracks/Songs

There are none that I go to youtube to listen to later or anything like that, but that does not mean they are not good, there are times when they fit perfectly, bringing feelings of tension, happiness and sadness.

Satisfaction/Appreciation

I think I can say that this anime was the biggest surprise of the season, I never thought that an anime that had a proposal to be a comedy could hold me so well, I was looking forward to each episode, to know what they would do, and to how such an interesting story would develop, and from that I can't complain, it was amazing, the whole process and had a closed ending, which is something that should be praised.(Spoiler Ahead) It's amazing to stop to think that a story about a group of students being sent into space by a sphere in front of a devastated planet with a convenient orbiting ship could turn out to be so interesting, full of plot twists. , incredible revelations about that universe, but I must say that sometimes it was too utopian, you think, they visit about six planets to return home and in that period no one dies? Or do you get a disease? Everyone is cool, even the traitor has his redemption, and as I said, the characters are simple, scream when it's time to cry, cry when it's time to cry and so the anime goes on, Kanata risks several times to save his mates, surrendering even your right arm, but nothing really happens, is the fact that they are clones accepted? In a country that technically abolished their upbringing? A clone who became king? (End of Spoiler) There are a lot of weird and meaningless things in the story, but it is still good, or something. História/Enredo

Kanata começa com uma proposta bastante simples, jovens de um futuro distante ou pelo menos bastante diferente do nosso, que estão indo para uma excursão escolar no espaço, ele podia ter ficado só nisso, sério, parecia ser uma comédia promissora, porém, o autor foi além, nos entregando uma grande história, cheia de reviravoltas e momentos incríveis, além de também seguir uma receita simples para o desenvolvimento das personagens, colocando um episódio focado em cada um, dando total relevância e importância para aquele personagem, porém, diferente de muitos animes que fazem isso, Kanata no Astra fez com que todos se desenvolvessem um pouco nesses episódios “individuais”, colocando Kanata, o protagonista, como um foco extra, servindo somente, nesses episódios, para melhorar a relação entre os companheiros sendo aquele que criou um elo entre todos. (Spoiler a frente) Bem, eles são jogados no espaço, por tipo de esfera, e dali a história começa de verdade. (Fim do Spoiler)

Personagens

Para falar deles vou focar em seus desenvolvimentos, porque seus traços de personalidade são bastante genéricos, temos o típico protagonista de shounen que é super otimista e que tenta ao máximo ajudar todo mundo, temos o interesse romântico dele que na maioria das vezes é uma garota meiga, tímida e fofa, temos também o clássico galã, educado, gentil, mas que tem algum segredo, em seguidas temos a tsundere, o inteligente, o emo, a kuudere e o brincalhão, ah sim, temos uma garotinha também. Começando pelo desenvolvimento do capitão, Kanata, ele começa como o típico personagem de shounen, salvando/ajudando alguém, nesse caso Aries, ao decorrer da história, Kanata acaba tendo um papel fundamental, o de unir e acalmar a equipe, vista a situação em que se encontram, por ser otimista e tão prestativo ele tem um pensamento simples o que o ajuda a julgar a situação com mais rapidez, sendo impulsivo na maior parte do anime, isso até parece ser uma decisão ruim, mas o anime mostra que às vezes, decisões simples podem resolver situações complexas, porém, ele não é “burro”, Kanata tem um grande senso de responsabilidade com todos, se colocando em perigo várias vezes para ajuda-los. Em seguida temos Aries, seu par romântico, uma garota gentil, calma e ingênua, não há muito que falar dela, já que seu desenvolvimento é bem “superficial” e sua relevância está no passado da mesma, algo que será abordado ao decorrer da obra, ela serve como o coração da equipe, sendo capaz de acalmar seus companheiros com sua simpatia e gentileza. Agora Zack, o inteligente, cabeça fria, mas que surpreendentemente é um dos que cria as melhores cenas de humor, é incrível como do nada ele fala algo “engraçado” que considera sério, quebrando todo o clima tenso, sua parceira, Quitterie e Funi (meia-irmã de Quitterie) ajudam nisso, Quitterie, sendo só uma princesa que sempre teve tudo, mas que posteriormente é revelado que na verdade ela não teve “nada”, abandonada por sua mãe e forçada a viver com uma meia-irmã que ele não conhecia, ela se via presa em sua bolha, o desenvolvimento das duas se resume na aceitação desse afeto entre irmãs, e seus sentimentos por Zack sendo aflorados. Yunhua, provavelmente a personagem mais “superficial” da história, ela é tímida e desastrada, sempre sofreu humilhação por sua mãe e proibida de fazer o que queria, o desenvolvimento está justamente nisso, numa aceitação e de que ela podia sim, seguir seus sonhos. Ulgar, o típico Sasuke, solitário, sério, pensa no próprio bem e tem um passado triste, seu desenvolvimento está ligado a Luca, quando os dois tem uma discursão, colocando todos em risco, para logo depois serem ambos salvos por Kanata, acabam se entendendo e priorizando a amizade e a sobrevivência de todos, por último, Charce, que poderia ser só mais um galã, engraçado, simpático e prestativo, mas que tem um desenvolvimento impressionante e reviravoltas que me deixaram abismado.

Traços/animação

Os Traços não são premiados ou diferentes, nem a animação chega a ser prêmio, mas devo elogiar a consistência e o mínimo uso de CGI, junto com as poucas cenas realmente fluidas.

Soundtracks/Músicas

Não há nenhuma que eu vá procurar no youtube para ouvir depois ou algo do gênero, mas isso não quer dizer que elas não sejam boas, há momentos em que elas se encaixam de forma perfeita, trazendo sentimentos de tensão, felicidade e tristeza.

Satisfação/apreciação

Acho que posso falar que esse anime foi a maior surpresa da temporada, nunca achei que um anime que tinha uma proposta de ser uma comédia conseguiria me prender tão bem, eu ficava ansioso para cada espisódio, para saber o que eles iriam fazer, e de como aquela história tão interessante iria se desenvolver, e disso eu não posso reclamar, foi incrível, todo o processo e teve um final fechado, que é algo que deve ser elogiado. (Spoiler a frente) É incrível parar para pensar que uma história sobre um grupo de estudantes que são mandados para o espaço por uma esfera em frente a um planeta devastado com uma nave conveniente em orbita podia se tornar algo tão interessante, cheio de plot twists, revelações incríveis sobre aquele universo, porém, eu devo dizer que algumas vezes ele era utópico demais, pensa, eles visitam uns seis planetas para voltar para casa e nesse período ninguém morre? Ou contrai uma doença? Todos são legais, até o traidor tem sua redenção, e como eu disse, as personagens são simples, gritam na hora de gritar, choram na hora de chorar e assim o anime continua, Kanata se arrisca diversas vezes para salvar seus companheiros, entregando até seu braço direito, mas nada de fato acontece, o fato deles serem clones foi aceito? Em um pais que tecnicamente aboliu a criação deles? Um clone que se tornou rei? (Fim do Spoiler) Tem muitas coisas estranhas e sem sentido na história, porém ela não deixa de ser boa, ou algo do gênero.
