Tenkuu no Shiro wo Moratta node Isekai de Tanoshiku Asobitai · review
The art is really good. The characters are quite detailed, golems are quite detailed, backgrounds aren't bad. The manga uses CG for some backgrounds (and objects), but it is handled well, and it is not really noticeable unless you start looking for it. The idea has incredible potential. I mean, a flying magic castle under protagonists's control. There are so many things that could be done with that! But, the Story and Characters. By the Elder Gods, they're are truly awful. The story goes for simplistic drama in the worst shounen traditions, and every character close to the MC is incredibly, irredeemably naive and pretty much stupid. MCis also naive to impossible degree and displays the typical qualities of shounen protagonist - meaning he is saintly and is truly outraged by every evil in the world, displaying life experience of a newborn.
Pretty much every "good" guy is a blundering buffoon, those people try to go on important mission, then screw it up due to being overtaken by some emotion at a drop of a hat, then are saved by some contrived deus ex machina.
I managed to last 23 chapters reading this, but then I could no longer stomach it. it is a pity, because with this visuals and this idea, someone could've created something amazing.
I'd recommend to skip it. Or you could try first few chapters and see if you can stomach it.
4/10 story, 7/10 art, 3/10 character, 3/10 enjoyment, 3/10 overall.
