The Counterfeit's Fateful Encounter · review
The fundamentals of the premise are a cliche at this point, but this is not remotely a work that relies on cliches. It avoids so many of the faults often found within this genre and every chapter is packed with character and charm. Some of the artwork is truly striking as well. This is one of the most enjoyable reads I've found and the writer is clearly skilled. The behavior of the protagonist's family is much more human than most abusive families in romance manga. In fact, pretty much all of the characters read consistently as human and alive. Even if you aren't a particularfan of romance this story is engaging from the start and stays that way. I'm eager to see what happens in future chapters.
