Yokuoni: Ogres of Greed · review
I was finally able to read it after so many years. The art is incredible, the pacing is quite good, and the story is captivating. It left me thinking about it and wanting to keep reading. It's very reminiscent of Tokyo Ghoul, from the power system, the aesthetics, and the direction the plot takes. It's not short as such (it's 9 volumes after all), but the political/conspiracy plot is very ambitious (in a good way), so the final resolution is a bit rushed. By this, I mean that in just a few chapters, there's plot twist after plot twist, and it even delves into new concepts. I like itwhen shounen series get philosophical.
I'm debating between a 6/10 or even a 7/10, I just finished reading the manga, so I'm hyped about the entertaining experience.
