Uglymug, Epicfighter is a weird manga for sure. We have a character that is not similar to the thousands of others out there. We have this Uglymug named Yoshioka Shigeru, who in his previous life was an epic salesman who got his life turned around due to a falsely claimed sexual assault in a train ride. Now a neet, horrified of females due to the trauma, gets a pop-up message similar to a virus warning, that he can start a new life. Weirdly enough, being ugly in this old life, he sacrifices he's chance to handsomeness for epic stats and so starts the new life of Uglymug, Epicfighter. To behonest, I really got interested in this series mainly due to the absolute "uglyness" of this character Shigeru. But he's not that ugly in my opinion. This is a manga which has something different compared to the other thousands similar isekai series, which is the looks of the main character. But don't let that scare you off. The comedy is very enjoyable, for me at least, and these companions Shigeru got transported with have all different kind of personalities which are quite interesting as well. Talking about them would make this a spoiler so we'll skip that.

This manga series is not about Shigeru alone and his Godlike powers. This series will give us a great story of companionship and
the trust between these characters as well as Shigerus' own will to protect and care for them and none of his companions doesn't
even care how ugly he is which makes this a bit wholesome as well. They try to help him however they can as well as enjoy each others company in their adventure.
The art seems kind of mediocre at some parts but I do like the character art of our great Uglymug, Epicfighter Shigeru. Don't even know why but he has a mole with a hair sticking out. Being fat and ugly doesn't mean the art of the character is bad at all. The environment could have gotten a little work on it considering that the characters got the most artwork. Some cute faces and smug faces also makes this more enjoyable to read. But whenever there are colored pages, it's honestly really cool and good looking. If this was a full colored manga, it would have really nice looking environment and all that.

Overall, quite enjoyable. Not that long of a series and can be read in a few hours or so. Only downside is the sudden ending kind of like feeling but otherwise I did enjoy the story and the smug face from Shigeru and the despair look one of his companions gets sometimes. It's a hit or miss kind of series and I think many wouldn't like it but at the end of the day. We can't all enjoy everything there is. 6/10 would be my score and recommend it only because it's quite short.
