Spoiler warning

This review may discuss plot details.

From an adult viewpoint, Acro Trip gives an impression of trying way too hard on making you laugh out of inoffensive non-existence; lacking any kind of effort. Synopsis-wise, it can come off as derivative where the starring villains got down-ranked and must climb back up the stairs at the top to be regain their superiority, while facing irrelevant, random SOL you may have seen from hundred thousands of published mangas. Sizable cast were forgettable and one-dimensional. The leading bad guy; despite having mild, goofy moments is downright pathetic; as in wanting to end himself so badly; while the middle school student protagonist is just obsessing overPrecure Berry Blossom. When paired up as a duo, they form an intriguing chemistry that can withhold from its stagnancy. (And give us yet another illicit romance, but thankfully they didn't.)

Though another positive I have to acknowledge from is the front covers featuring characters debuted from previous volumes. But the art style alone in the contents were a bit amateur. There is nothing to write hone about, other than being a harmless cotton candy for little girls. In fact, fans of magical girl genre would enjoy Acro Trip than me.

I would not give it a benefit of a doubt, but rest of you will.

3/10 - Writing (Story & Comedy)
