I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too: Real World · review

Color me surprised, I thought this was the start of the new season two, but it's good primer for what to expect and also refresh the memory regarding the first season which I'm definitely not watching again. I thought this was better than the whole of first season because it actually moved more of the light novel narrative to somewhere interesting. The main character might actually get to fight three mysterious figures who can challenge his overpowered abilities, even if they look like a Temu version of the Akatsuki from Naruto. Wait, the Akatsuki in this anime is a cute and fluffy pig who can literallywipe the evil out with its fluffiness.

It maintains the animation quality from first season because it is still the same studio, which is nice, it's one of the few good qualities going for this show.

The character remains the same, the irritatingly naive hero who literally has no evil bone within him. Unfortunately, those character qualities are the raison d'être of this show, so those will never change.

What I really liked is that they spent more time in the other world this time rather than the main character being continually glazed in the real world. If they can tilt the balance to more otherworld arcs, then this show might be worth watching because this TV special sets up something interesting.

I can recommend watching this special, only if you're willing to subjecting yourself watching the aforementioned glazing the main character gets in the real world once he unlocks his isekai abilities, which was like 90% of the show, by my rough estimate of course. The first season is a necessary watch to actually understand how this TV special fits in the overall narrative.
