This was such a blessing to watch. Ah, just very wholesome. The cuteness, sadness, and happiness were the range of feelings I got from this. Though I didn cry (because I am a heartless man who has watched a lot of dark anime) it caused my heart to hurt. This anime is truly a feel good hidden gem. The characters in my opinion were the strong points in this anime. the lovable cast of conflicted but sweet characters in the story really what made this anime shine. At first some characters may either seem pathetic or just absolute shit but after getting to know themyou start to love em. Yuzuru is probably the sweetest girl in all of anime. If you disagree then you are simply wrong and FIGHT ME. The plot of this anime had some interesting events that made me invested in watching the show. If you're just expecting a wholesome story about a couple then you are going to be somewhat surprised. This story in fact may have a lot of wholesome elements in it but that is only because of the characters. This show has a dark but unique setting where instead of taking place in the modern era it takes place in the early 1900 japan. Stuff like prostitution and selling people are highlighted in this anime. Hell best girl Yuzuru was bought so she could take care of the MC. The fact that this anime has and uses the setting to improve and explore our characters is something that I like a lot. One problem I have with this anime though would be the animation. Though the animation and art design of the characters may look cute sometimes they dry or just lazy. Overall this is an anime I really enjoyed. It got sad, happy, and dye from the cuteness of the characters.
OVERALL: 8/10
