Review of Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss but I'm Not the Demon Lord

It's decent. First episode is a bit of a hassle. The interesting part is in the 2nd half of the first episode. After that, the plot flows decently and there's only around 1 episode of what could be considered a "filler episode", but it still connects to the main story after all. The connections to the MC's past life is less pronounced as the show goes on to the point where it doesn't feel like it has any bearing to the protagonist's decisions. The plot follows a very well-defined expectation of what an otome anime game is, and doesn't deviate deep into other sub-plots, e.g tournamentarc, which they did; then wrapped it up in a reasonable time frame.

Overall, the show is average. The show did what it's intending to do.
