Review of Horimiya
With pieces like this, I wonder, what people really want... Because this is really good one. Horimiya is at the start a bit weird. It's approaching its story slowly and gently and in the end, it's a really good approach to this story. The story is basically about one of the more popular and outgoing girls and a quiet guy "in a corner" who has actually 2 personalities. He is spending time with the girl's brother and getting closer to her. And it's really lovely. It's not a ton of sugar over 1 couple but the story is following multiple of them with a more realistic approach. Withromance anime, there are always issues about whether it won't be too much, whether it will be somehow realistic, or whether 2 MCs can even work together as a properly functioning couple. And Horimiya managed to leave a good mark behind all of it. It shows how difficult relationships and feelings are, it shows a different approach to finding love and it shows some deeper bounds. It works really well together, it doesn't leave an empty hole in your heart and the characters' behavior is logical.
If you are looking for some soft and properly made romance, this might be the right one.
